Hello Susan,
When magnesium pills and powders cause the laxative effect I recommend angstrom magnesium. It's low potency, goes straight into the cells and is supposed to be 100% absorbed at the cellular level. www.123minerals.com.
Aloha

Hello Eileen,
The general advice I give to people with weakened lungs is to take glutathione by inhalation and angstrom minerals to make sure the minerals get inside the cells. I have Veterinarian friend who save animals from lung white out with these minerals every day.
Aloha

Dr. Dean, I am writing to you because my husband had a heart valve replaced and one repaired 9 years ago. He was on cumadin, digoxion, Sotalol 80 mg three times a day, lasix,. Eight months after the surgery he got a staph infection, and all the valves had to be replaced due to garbage I call it on the valves. The Dr.s did not think he would even recover from the staph infection. He did but it was a long haul. Now he has only 50% of his lungs functioning. I have heard that your body can heal itself if given the right kind of supplements or vitamins etc. I don't really trust the Dr's so can you give me some advice on supplements can may be able to restore his lung function. He is taking C)Q10 for the irreglar heartbeat, which they said he had to learn to live with. He has had a numbness in left leg ever since the heart surgery, and nothing so far has been able to help that. He is 75 and still has a lot of years left if we can get the lungs to functioning right again. Please give us some advice.
Thank You, Eileen Smith

Hallo Dr. Corlyn, thank you for the very informative letter. It is a great pity, that we only have a few medical doctors like you. The traditional medical establishment is NOT interested in our health at all, they only want to treat symptoms as you say by prescribing questionable drugs to keep their bottom line healthy. How sad is that? Four years ago I had a severe angina attack, the pain was excruciating. After I arrived at the hospital, the prognosis was: By-pass surgery. I have always kept a very healthy life style and got enough exercise( brisk walks and rebounder exercise every day and swimming in the ocean at least once a week, we lived in Florida up until a year ago) to keep me fit. Yet here I was to go under the knife. I had quadruple bypass, which I am sure was not needed. Probably a simple measure of magnesium and perhaps COQ10 would have done the trick. After the surgery, I asked the surgeon why did I get this angina in the first place? Answer: Must be in your genes. ( How stupid did he think I was?) Since then I did some research on line and found a book by Dr. Thomas E. Levy, MD, JD "Stop America's #1 Killer!" in which he states with hundreds of studies, that Coronary Heart Disease is caused by Vitamin C deficiency. The foreword was written by Dr. Julian Whitaker, one of the few doctors just like you. Anyhow, I will be 73 years old in January and have to say that I am in excellent health, trying to do the right thing. One interesting part I have to admit was. reading about your theory of food our ancestors ate. I grew up in Germany during and after the last world war. Because our home was destroyed in a bomb raid and we were luckily not home at the time, we were sent to the country and lived for 5 years on a large farm. This provided us with not much, but healthy food none the less. As you may know, Germans like their potatoes and bread. WE also had a small vegetable garden where my father planted all the vegetables we needed. We were able to buy a whole pig together with another family and the resulting meat and sausages kept us alive for over two years. So yes, I still like to eat the German way and it feels good, although I also like some of the food from South America. After the war we immigrated to Colombia, South America and we became accustomed to some of the fare there. I later also married a girl from there and we have combined our food cravings in such a way that we are both eating half German and half Colombian staples. Coming back to your theory, I do believe it has a lot of merit, since we have kept well. I am about 5 pounds heavier now than 40 years ago when I got married and my wife has now 20 pounds more, but she was only 103 pounds when we got married and she has born us two daughters, so overall, we are not too bad in that department, even though we are trying to lose some of these pounds. I am looking forward in receiving your letters as I like to keep myself informed about any type of improvement I can make to our life-style. Thank you for your inspiring news. Cordially, Curt Manler

I agree with you 100%. But in the case of my husband who now has advanced Glaucoma, what other recourse is there to hold down the eye pressure. This has been extremely stressful because as you believe, I do not think drugs are the answer, but what or who can help us with this disease that treats sucessfully without drugs. I would appreciate that info. I have been looking and had no success with it. We cannot afford to fool around as he has lost all peripeheral vision in the left eye.
Definitely would appreciate your help

Hello Jude,
One TBSP of Blackstrap Molasses apparently has about 20% of the RDA of magnesium. So that means about 80 mg. And be sure to brush your teeth after taking it because it really gloms onto your teeth.
Aloha

Hi Carolyn,
Have just found your website and subscribed, such a good source of information.
My question is "Blackstrap Molasses" is this as beneficial as Magnesium in other forms.
I normally take this either spoonfuls twice a day or as a hot drink.
Our family has a history of diabetes and whilst not diabetic am borderline, and need to be aware.
Thanks for such great info.
