No Time to Exercise?

Carolyn Dean MD ND | Tuesday, October 13, 2009

Super squats are intense, quick and can be done almost anywhere – making them the perfect exercise for when you have no time. See Module 7 of Future Health Now!

We find time to sleep.

We find time to eat.

We find time to brush our teeth.

We find time to watch a movie.

We find time to copulate (which can count as exercise).

We find time to earn money to pay for supplements.

But people keep on telling me they don’t have time for exercise.

One of the secrets to finding time is redefining “exercise.” We think of exercise as a time set aside to go to the gym and lift some weights. Not only is it hard to schedule – it’s difficult to get excited about.

But Look at our Ancestors’ “Exercise Program”…

They were exercising all day long. Hunting game, raising livestock and growing food. Building fences, constructing homes and fixing wagons. Playing games, dancing and…

Walking. They walked everywhere. Before fossil fuels walking was the thing. Often times pulling or carrying something.

I doubt they even had a word for “exercise.”

Exercise for Urbanites

Now most of us have a job that doesn’t involve such physical exertion. We also live in suburban situations that have inconveniently placed everywhere we need to go such a great distance away we couldn’t possibly walk to all of them.

But you can…

  • Put a dumbbell in your briefcase, purse or backup – just to make it heavier.
  • You can park or get off the bus farther from your place of business.
  • You can knock out 12 super squats (see Module 7 of Future Health Now!) every 30 minutes you sit in front of a computer (it will only make you more productive).
  • Take the stairs instead of the escalator or the elevator.

Future Health Now! contains 22 exercises you can do almost anywhere (some even while you are driving) that will keep you strong, flexible and fit. If you haven’t downloaded your free copy of Module One… click here now.
