Wow! I am so sorry you got sick! I was suprised to hear from one of the other postings that they use Colloidal Silver. We have used Activated Charcoal and if works for us quite well (maybe not 30 min but at least 1 hr). I was not aware of the Vitamin C crystal either. Dr Dean, I love your e-mails and I also enjoy your subscribers. Have you considered starting a Yahoo Group or something, so we could all communicate with each other and share knowledge on other topics as well.

Visuals speak much more clearly than words !

I did not know about the powder. Thank you for that. I am glad it was not the pesto-whew! I am ever so glad you leave the power on for the refrigeration (you DO live in the tropics!) I can't believe someone else has a relative with dangerous cravings. My brother wants diet coke and snickers bars. (He is not mentally well, either.) AND, I had a conversation not long ago with a lady whose sister lives in Bakersfield CA. She informed me that LA cannot process all of its sewage. Trucks of the unprocessed LA sewage turn up at farms in Bakersfield and get spread on crops. According to her it matters not if the farmer objects. So only contaminated by cows isn't flying with me. One last thing, is that plastic holding the tomato sauce? Several years ago I made a conscious effort to get glass storage containers. I find if I stick leftovers in the fridge in plastic they most often get tossed because they spoiled. Now that I store in glass I am Much more likely to happily eat them. I think they keep better too. I should think tomato sauce and plastic in particular wouldn't be a good idea. Thank you for the informative journey!

When I get this problem (which is seldom), I run for my Colloidal Silver and the problem goes away in 30 minuets, even if it is a scary attack. I have had this kind of poisoning before and was delirious for 2 days on a camping trip before I learned about this!

You should try this the next time; it really works and kills those bad bugs fast!

I think you can stir in some vitamin C crystals before storing the sauce. That would inhibit the mold and make it last longer. Sorry you were so sick... Food poisoning is the absolute worst!!!

Tomatoes, and baked beans in a can in the fridge half open for more than three days would do it. When I cook my beans I generally try and eat the whole tin that day. One of my friends in London has an allergy to tomatoes. I think he said it makes face go red and comes out in hives. Tomatoes are a great fruit. An important ingredient of bolognaise. But they are regularly attributed to being the trouble makers. Sorry about the fridge observation it was a playful expression of my own general confusion with gadgets. Thanks for answering the suspense was really effective and the in between time blurbs helps us all know you are back to health. Very informative and fun. Thank you. My friend who comes out in hives from tomatoes used to be a psycho therapist. I haven't spoke to him for about three years, ever since he asked to have his windows cleaned. He lived in a really high rise flat with really tricky windows to clean. Being so high up reminded or re-awakened a fear of hieghts. Could it be an illness or allergy is not the food but the paranormal self during consumption. If so do you think possible that imperishable food could be consummed by friends who are grateful to the meal, override the sensitivity in stomach and never actually notice the upset stomach. Another way of this I thinking the water factor and the crystal shape under a microscope showing a magnificent shape (Like a little tomatoe ).

Hi Carolyn,
The case has been solved but not by me.
The lesson is well taken.
Freeze rather than leave, even if it is for just a couple of days.
Thank you for sharing all the tips on what to do when food poisoning is suspected.
