How John Locke Went From Paraplegic to Boar Hunter

Carolyn Dean MD ND | Tuesday, January 26, 2010

John Locke from LOST awakening on The Island.
Upon awakening on The Island, John Locke realized he had feeling in his previously paralyzed legs.

Here’s part two of the series I started last week where I explain why the extraordinary healing powers of The Island from the TV show LOST aren’t all that extraordinary (plus how you can replicate such natural “miracles” in your own life)…

Let’s look at John Locke, the bald-headed, boar-hunting, shamanic office worker who was confined to a wheel chair before arriving on The Island. As fans of the show know, only moments after the crash, he could walk again.

How could this be?

Well, being thrown out of a plane that breaks apart at high altitudes is an unorthodox way of adjusting a misaligned spinal cord. But that could be exactly what happened to John. It’s a fact that without a properly aligned spine your nervous system cannot function properly. Your organs and muscles are not able to communicate properly with your brain.

While being thrown out of plane worked for John – most of the passengers were killed on impact. And, besides, John had already survived falling eight stories (how he first injured his back). He’s obviously a little more durable than the rest of us.

A less dangerous approach would involve daily stretching, strength training and cardio.

And if you are currently suffering from back, neck or sciatic pain I highly recommend following the simple methods of healing Jesse Cannone’s Healthy Back Institute teaches. If you haven’t requested your copy of Jesse’s book, The 7-Day Back Pain Cure, please click here to find out how to get a copy for free.
