Helping Out My Mucous Membranes

Carolyn Dean MD ND | Saturday, March 20, 2010

Today’s my birthday… on the first day of spring!

And with spring comes mold, pollen and other irritants.

Last week, I arrived in Los Angeles just as the rains, cold and mudslides stopped. So I’m dealing with all those springtime irritants along with the air pollution of this huge city. My nose quickly began to flow mucous to the point I didn’t know if I would be able to meet all my speaking engagements.

Of course, mucous is a good thing. Mucous is the body’s way of flushing out foreign bodies. It’s just unpleasant and impractical. So I borrowed my host’s neti pot (you know they’re really your friend when they’ll lend you their neti pot) and gave my mucous membranes a hand. After two short neti sessions all my symptoms were gone.

Neti pots are all the rage these days… but most people don’t realize they can dry out your sinus cavity (which could end up causing an infection).

So follow up your neti pot use with plenty of nasal lubrication — like I teach you in Module 1 of Future Health Now! (Click here to get a free copy.)

Can’t wait to get back to Maui where I must be used to the pollens, VOG and sugar cane burning. Humans are so adaptable!

P.S. Module 50 of Future  Health Now! goes into great detail about how to combine neti pots, nasal lubrication and various “gargling recipes” to prevent sinus infections, colds and seasonal sensitivities.  If you’re not already, you can become a member by clicking here.

P.P.S. Today, I’m speaking at Mike Adams’ Healing Miracles event.  I’ll send you an update on Monday. And the following weekend I’m speaking at the Health Freedom Expo. I did a teleseminar yesterday with Republic Magazine to promote the Expo. You can listen to it by clicking here.
