What you drop into the toilet each day can help you make many important personal health decisions like… Which diet is best for you… How much sleep you need… Or whether a particular supplement benefits you or not. Now, I hope today’s wellness tip won’t gross you out. I was so annoyed when the technical editor for IBS Cookbook for Dummies tried to forbid me from advising readers to take a backward glance into the toilet. She didn’t want people becoming obsessed. And I agree — forming the perfect bowel movement should not be your life ambition. Nonetheless, healthy BMs indicate how your current health program is working for your body. Your stools should move 2-3 times a day, be large and the consistency of a ripe banana. Otherwise, hard constipated stools indicate your body is too dry or tense. You may not be eating enough lubricating fats or are sensitive to drying food like potatoes, granola and apples. Vice versa, runny or loose stools may mean you are actually eating too much cleansing fruits and raw vegetables and not enough protein and starches. So as you experiment with lifestyle choices… “listen” to your colon. If you’re doing something that works for your particular constitution then the proof will be in the pooh. P.S. I may put together a special report detailing how to adjust your diet and lifestyle based on the shape and frequency of your bowel movements. Please let me know if this interests you or disgusts you. P.P.S. If you’re not going every day… you’re constipated. This is a toxic condition. I recommend you click here to check out Dr. Mauro’s free email course 7 Common Causes of Constipation (it’s written for women but applies just as well to men). |
