Many people ask how I came up with my “handle” The Doctor of the Future”. I owe it all to my friend, Dr. Stephen Sinatra, a cardiologist, certified nutrition specialist, certified bioenergetic psychotherapist and anti-aging specialist. When Dr. Sinatra first met me he immediately called me the doctor of the future because he was very impressed that I had both an MD and an ND degree. I was very impressed with his credentials as well!

Dr. Sinatra greatly respects Naturopathic Medicine. His son Drew is a Naturopath and they have great discussions about the importance of natural approaches to health. Dr. Sinatra would love to see all doctors trained in natural medicine as well as allopathic medicine. And he wants to spread the word to the rest of the world with his new website, Heart MD Institute.

I’m a Contributing Editor on Dr. Sinatra’s website. It’s a very heartfelt a project because it’s a family affair for Dr. Sinatra. His daughter Marchann is editor-in-chief. Marchann formerly practiced law in Maui. And Drew Sinatra ND is Heart MD’s Naturopathic Consultant and a Contributing Editor. Their mission statement is quite inspiring.

“With the understanding that knowledge empowers, our mission at Heart MD Institute is to educate patients and medical professionals alike about integrative medicine, with a special focus on metabolic cardiology. Additionally, Heart MD Institute aims to inspire a restructuring of the doctor/patient relationship where together, both actively participate in the patient’s healing process. The pervading philosophy at Heart MD Institute is “prevention is easier than cure.”

I’m happy to be able to work with Dr. Sinatra as we both help people understand how natural medicine can be part of their lives. The website is wonderful with lots of great videos of Dr. Sinatra being interviewed about his work. You will find an abundance of information to help keep your heart healthy with magnesium mentioned at every turn!
