Airport Healthcare

Carolyn Dean MD ND | Friday, December 10, 2010

A friend sent me a URL from NPR Public Radio. It’s a “Letter of Concern” about the airport x-ray scanners written by a number of University of California, San Francisco doctors. My following tongue-in-cheek comment was prompted by another friend and his fine-tuned sense of comedy and satire.

Why not turn airports into hospitals to save money? They have the x-ray equipment. They have the plastic gloves. They can examine all your body orifices and give you an x-ray report on your prostate while they’re at it.

But they better watch out. If they see something on your x-ray and mention “Hey, sir, you have a kidney stone!” they could land in jail for practicing medicine without a license.

So, Obamacare needs to get on the case right away and dish out some medical licenses to the TSA. After all, anyone can be a doctor these days! Can’t they? A doctor only needs to watch TV to know what drugs to prescribe. And now patients only need to take a plane trip to get a complete set of x-rays. So book your flight right away before they start charging you to be scanned!

Yup, we’re living in crazy times where healthcare is actually disease care and allopathic medicine is determined to keep their drugs and surgery approach—whether it kills us or not! And whether they are failing to help people or not! And now the airports are terrorizing us with nuclear radiation all in the name of preventing terror!

OK. I’ve taken my tongue out of my cheek and hope you enjoyed my rant…ya gotta laugh at some of this craziness…otherwise you wouldn’t stop crying!
