Water, Sea Salt and Magnesium

Carolyn Dean MD ND | Tuesday, July 3, 2012

Several questions came after my Solution For Dehydration post of July 1, 2012. None the least of which was the actual amount of water that I recommend!

Not it’s not half your body weight in water! It’s half your body weight in ounces of water. As soon as I got wind of the error I corrected the blog that appears on my home page.

Some wondered what happened to my proofreader. Well, this may come as a shock to you but I’m pretty much running this operation single-handedly. I do it because it’s fun and when it’s no longer fun, I’ll stop.

Others asked me about taking other forms of salt. Yes, Himalayan salt, the salt from the Great Salt Lake in Utah and sea salt are all appropriate. You might even rotate different salts. And as I mentioned on in the Solution For Dehydration, you can add drops of Ionique CMD (Concentrated Mineral Drops), Great Salt Lake salt, to your water and not have to mess with grains of salt.

Some asked, if sea salt is all you need to get all your minerals. I say no, you also need magnesium supplements and lots of greens for more magnesium and some calcium.

I use Antioxidant Greens from Tropical Traditions along with my Whey Too Good powder. Another way I trick myself into eating more greens is my delicious 45-second chicken soup recipe.

Bring 2 cups organic chicken broth, 1 cup water, ½ cup coconut milk to a boil.
Pour into a Blendtec or Vitamix
Add a quart of chopped vegetables: spinach, chard, kale, carrots, beets, cilantro, basil.
Add 1 tsp Spike seasoning
Put the lid on tight and blend for 45 seconds.

Here are several posts I’ve done on water in the past.

And as I say every week at the end of my blogs. If you have a question for me, just google the question and my name and I may have already blogged an answer.

MAGNESIUM MIRACLE STORIES. A reader sent me the following. “Here’s two magnesium miracles. My wife and I are 74. She had a stroke Sept 2011 and I dropped her blood pressure about 20 systolic with 450 mg of magnesium a day so she can get off her toxic drugs. Me, I had a calcified mitral valve three years ago. After the same regime of taking magnesium, it’s back to normal now. What can I say? Just keep doing what you’re doing!”

MEDIA: You can catch the Free NaturalNews Healing Summit again this weekend, July 6, 7, 8. Just tune in to NaturalNews Radio from 2pm EST. If they use the same schedule as last weekend, my talk, on magnesium, will be at 8pm EST. There was a lot of positive feedback on that show so be sure and tell your friends and family to listen to this free event.

MY HEALTH LIBRARY: Be sure and go to my Organized Wisdom Library which is growing by leaps and bounds and where you will be able to find written, audio and video information for your health. A shout out to Susan for all her hard work!
