Water, Sea Salt and Magnesium

Several questions came after my Solution For Dehydration post of July 1, 2012. None the least of which was the actual amount of water that I recommend!

Not it’s not half your body weight in water! It’s half your body weight in ounces of water. As soon as I got wind of the error I corrected the blog that appears on my home page.

Some wondered what happened to my proofreader. Well, this may come as a shock to you but I’m pretty much running this operation single-handedly. I do it because it’s fun and when it’s no longer fun, I’ll stop.

Others asked me about taking other forms of salt. Yes, Himalayan salt, the salt from the Great Salt Lake in Utah and sea salt are all appropriate. You might even rotate different salts. And as I mentioned on in the Solution For Dehydration, you can add drops of Ionique CMD (Concentrated Mineral Drops), Great Salt Lake salt, to your water and not have to mess with grains of salt.

Some asked, if sea salt is all you need to get all your minerals. I say no, you also need magnesium supplements and lots of greens for more magnesium and some calcium.

I use Antioxidant Greens from Tropical Traditions along with my Whey Too Good powder. Another way I trick myself into eating more greens is my delicious 45-second chicken soup recipe.

Bring 2 cups organic chicken broth, 1 cup water, ½ cup coconut milk to a boil.
Pour into a Blendtec or Vitamix
Add a quart of chopped vegetables: spinach, chard, kale, carrots, beets, cilantro, basil.
Add 1 tsp Spike seasoning
Put the lid on tight and blend for 45 seconds.
