In my eBook, How to Change Your Life with Magnesium, one of the 20 magnesium miracle manifestors wrote: “I take 400mg of magnesium per day and no more laryngospasms and no more leg cramps. My wife takes 200mg…no more cramps and no more insomnia!” And just today, Albert sent this email: “You may be interested that my Magnesium cure for Laryngospasms is still working after 6 years! I have a web site Laryngospasms where I outline my cure and I mention your book ‘The Magnesium Miracle’ on the second page. I get many hits per day on this page, mostly from the USA, where Laryngospasm attacks seem to worry many, so I hope my web page helps them.” Laryngospasms means severe muscle contractions of the muscles around the larynx AKA the voice box. When laryngospasm occurs, people are unable to breathe or speak. It’s a terrifying condition. Medically – like so many conditions caused by magnesium deficiency – there is no known cause for laryngospasms but doctors say it’s related to GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). So they treat it as GERD using drugs that …you guessed it…further deplete magnesium. Proton pump inhibitors such as Dexilant, Nexium and Prevacid reduce the production of stomach acids, so that fluids from the stomach that do back up into the esophagus are less corrosive. But without a necessary amount of stomach acid, magnesium is not absorbed. Another drug option is prokinetic agents which stimulate movement in the digestive tract to reduce the amount of acid available. But magnesium is the best stimulant to GI muscles. And get this – if patients don’t respond to drug treatments they may need a surgical procedure called fundoplication. This is a procedure that wraps the upper part of the stomach (fundus) around the esophagus to prevent acids from backing up. All for a probable magnesium deficiency. As I’ve stated many times, a muscle spasm in any muscle of the body is always a magnesium deficiency until proven otherwise. How did medicine get so dumb that they ignore something as simple as a mineral imbalance and jump into drugs and surgery instead? So, once again it’s up to you to flood your relatives with emails about magnesium and give my books, The Magnesium Miracle and eBook, How to Change Your Life with Magnesium to everyone you know as a non-birthday gift.
