Just as I’m developing the theory that magnesium is not only deficient in the population but also required in “medicinal” doses to overcome the toxic waste containers that our bodies have become, a doctor with a multi-million dollar vaccine patent produces a book making outrageous anti-supplement statements and thus has become the darling of the media. The drug company mouthpiece is Dr. Paul Offit and his latest pro-drug, pro-vaccine diatribe is: Do You Believe in Magic?: The Sense and Nonsense of Alternative Medicine.
Can it get any worse? Absolutely!
If I start talking about magnesium as a “medicine”, it could be labeled as a drug and put on prescription. Since doctors learn nothing about “prescribing” supplements, drugs will continue to be used for our rampant mineral and vitamin deficiency symptoms. I’m a bit worked up about this attack on supplements because the FDA has demanded new labeling on supplements, so one of my products, ReAline, has to display the following warnings on its label.
“Warnings: Not intended for persons under the age of 18. Do not use if pregnant or nursing. Consult a health care professional prior to consumption if you have any pre-existing medical conditions or are taking any prescription medication. Improper use of this product will not improve results and is potentially hazardous to a person’s health. Use only as directed.”
It sounds a bit scary, doesn’t it? But remember the following from my Death by Modern Medicine book: Dietary supplements have averaged less than 5 confirmed deaths per year over the past 25 years in the USA. Most of those relate to a single batch of genetically engineered tryptophan introduced in the late 1980’s.
And, it’s not just allopathic doctors who’ve got it all wrong. A friend wrote and said she was talking to her so-called holistic doctor about yeast overgrowth in the body and the doctor said that magnesium is the number one food for yeast so that when you are in the process of trying to kill yeast you should not take magnesium!
I couldn’t believe my ears! I wrote back. “Absolute Crap!!! I’ve never heard of such a preposterous statement!”
Basically, all organisms require all nutrients, so what are we supposed to do, starve ourselves to death in order to kill them. Ridiculous.
More importantly, “Acetaldehyde is a powerful toxic byproduct of yeast, and magnesium is required to break it down. If there isn’t enough magnesium, there can be a lot of acetaldehyde side effects. Exposure to acetaldehyde are through: alcohol consumption, Candida, exhaust from cars and trucks, and cigarette smoking.
Acetaldehyde is toxic to the brain, liver and kidney and can cause Vitamin B depletion. It also can block hormone receptors affecting the thyroid, adrenals and pituitary. Symptoms of thyroid imbalance are very common today partly because thyroid hormones, which may appear normal in blood tests can’t get inside cells because of chronic acetaldehyde poisoning. The same happens with female hormones, especially estrogen not getting into cells to do its work, whereas blood estrogen levels may be normal.
There is so much misinformation and disinformation out there I really don’t know how most people cope. I understand if you just give up! But these days, giving up on your health means asking questions of doctors who just don’t know the answers, so they make it up based on some half truth or brainwashing learned in medical school.
I’m presently writing a new book on yeast to go along with a product line that will take the guesswork out of yeast treatment. I believe that magnesium deficiency and yeast overgrowth are responsible for much of our suffering. Until my book comes out, go to The Yeast Connection Website for more information. And continue to take your magnesium!
Here is today’s Magnesium miracle story from the Magnesium Advocacy Facebook page.
“My Chiropractor recommended Magnesium oil. So I tried it and OMG my pain subsided! I then read Carolyn Dean’s Book The Magnesium Miracle! It all made so much sense… I was Magnesium deficient! So I start my whole magnesium supplementing routine. Mag rich foods, oral Mag, Mag oil, mag baths, mag soap, mag shampoo etc! My friends and family started teasing me because anyone who crossed my path with a problem, bad attitude or an ugly look I would say ‘They must be magnesium deficient!.’ I finally know what it feels like to walk around without head and neck pain for the first time in my life! I’m a much more relaxed, patient person! I was able to get off of almost all medications (2 more to quit and I’m free)! I’m feeling the best I have felt in 10 years! Took my cholesterol from 268 to 170! And I’m actually maintaining my ideal weight.”
