Illness is the New Normal

March 10, 2015

Illness became the New Normal when doctors began using drugs to “prevent” chronic disease; when drugs became the “go to” solution for social anxiety; when drugs began to be used by 70% of the population!

A story from a friend in Berlin encouraged me to write this blog. She’s on the RnA Drops and all the Total Body ReSet formulas and would never have a reason to go to a doctor. However, in Germany, businesses have mandated annual physical exams. She has been avoiding them for years and when she could no longer find an excuse not to go she had a very surreal experience. First, the doctor looked at her forms and immediately told her she got her birth year wrong; she couldn’t possibly be 47 years old, she looked too young. Then he proceeded to question her whole file asking her why she wasn’t on any medication and told her it was not normal to be so healthy. He told her that surely she felt tired and ill at some time during the day. He finally said he would be checking up on her to make sure she was telling the truth!

Yes, illness is the new norm. I’ve been hearing for a few years that doctors are quite surprised when patients are not on any medication. Doctors and drug companies keep trying to say that previously normal blood pressure or cholesterol readings are now abnormal and require medication.

How has this been allowed to happen? It’s the “boiling frog” story. The premise is that if a frog is placed in boiling water, it will jump out, but if it is placed in cold water that is slowly heated, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death. Sound familiar?

Take the new eating disorder called Orthorexia nervosa. It’s a newly defined eating disorder or mental disorder characterized by an extreme or excessive preoccupation with avoiding foods perceived to be unhealthy. So, essentially, Illness is the New Normal and Eating Healthy is a Disease! This is a great example of George Orwell’s Newspeak in his book, 1984.
