Carrie Charles’ Summit Love Your Body – Use the Power of Your Mind to Lose Weight & Feel Strong, Sexy and Confident at any Age is well underway and my interview is Jan 23 starting at 7am EST. I wrote about the summit a few blogs ago and the topic of DCIS. During my interview I also talked about Total Biology – the conflict basis of disease. I am not a practitioner but I’ve studied Total Biology and feel very strongly that it helps explains how and why we develop many forms of cancer.
According to its founder Claude Sabbah MD, “Disease is the brain’s best solution to keep the person alive as long as possible.” So, if a person has a major conflict or stress that overwhelms the mind, the body may create physical symptoms in an attempt to relive the stress or solve the problem.
For example, Dr. Gert Hamer who discovered German New Medicine – which is similar to Total Biology – did so after a severe stress. His son, (in his 20’s) was fatally wounded by a gunshot and died after 3 months of suffering. His father couldn’t help and was distraught. Three months after his son died Hamer developed testicular cancer and his wife developed ovarian cancer. To have cancer develop in organs related to reproduction seems too much of a coincidence for Dr. Hamer. He is a psychiatrist and oncologist and he went to his files and discovered that almost all of his cancer patients expressed an irresolvable conflict in their lives that he now felt laid the foundation for their cancer.
A mother with a very ill child may be so stressed that she is not sleeping, not eating, and in danger herself of becoming ill. So, the mind tries to solve the problem by stimulating breast tissue growth to produce more milk to nurture the child. When the problem is resolved, the extra growth will begin to break down – at which point it may be diagnosed as a breast tumor but it’s really a tissue healing phase. All this makes no sense to allopathic medicine, which ignores the psychology of disease.
Since our topic was about weight loss I went into the conflict associated with weight gain we covered the Conflict of Abandonment.
Here is how Total Biology defines this conflict.
In the wilds, if a baby is abandoned and does not have its mother to protect it, that means death. It’s a terrible biological conflict. With its mother, a baby has its food. If it is abandoned, it can no loner receive its food supply. It must therefore store everything it ingests as fat. We stockpile in fat, because 1 gram of fat provides 9 calories, while 1 gram of protein provides 4 calories and 1 gram of sugar is 4 calories. The yield from fat is therefore 225%. This is why abandonment is intimately tied to weight gain.
Also, when we put on weight, we are more imposing and make all small predators flee. In nature there is thus more chance of getting out of the situation. Moreover, one is more easily spotted, so it is the only chance of rejoining the flock. I therefore have an interest in being voluminous to gain respect from the enemy, and since I am large, my mother is more likely to find me again. Example: A mother bear and its cub, the cub wanders, the first thing he does is stand up tall to be seen. Being big means I am invincible and I need to be seen and my mother. The cub also does this to chase predators away.
