No doctor wants blood on their hands from prescribing harmful drugs. But that’s what happens when the side effects of drugs are ignored.
Here is the RnA ReSet Blog sent out by Ginney today and it’s a doozy so I wanted to pass it along.
A report that you can read online says it all in the title: Questioning the use of NSAIDs Given that Inflammation is a Perfectly Healthy Response to Injury. Non Steroidal Anti-inflammatory drugs cause internal bleeding and may be involved in as many as 300,000 deaths over the past 30 years with no end in sight.
NSAIDs may relieve pain but they don’t cure and they often aren’t really necessary. Yet 30 million people take NSAIDs daily. They are prescribed for any ache, pain and injury; they are also available over the counter. They are the 15th most common cause of death in the US alone. Several studies caution against the use of NSAIDs in injury, especially ligament injury in athletes. NSAIDs coupled with Cipro and other quinolone drugs could enhance the tendon rupture attributed to Cipro alone.
In case you didn’t know, NSAIDs include the over-the-counter drugs: Aspirin (Bufferin, Bayer, and Excedrin), Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Nuprin), Ketoprofen (Actron, Orudis), Naproxen (Aleve). Prescription NSAIDs include: Daypro, Indocin, Lodine, Naprosyn, Relafen, Voltaren.
How do NSAIDs work? Researchers don’t even know but like most drugs they block a natural function of the body. In the case of NSAIDs, they block the effects of enzymes called Cox-1 and Cox-2, which make prostaglandins, which in turn cause swelling and inflammation. But the swelling and inflammation is in reaction to something happening in the body and are part of a natural healing cycle.
Instead of drugs to suppress the body’s natural reaction to injury and stress, I highly recommend oral and topically applied ReMag. ReMag does dozens of things for inflammation; it increases circulation to the area and stimulates the detoxification pathways of the liver. Most importantly, it directs the production and function of nitric oxide, which is a signaling molecule that has an anti-inflammatory effect under normal physiological conditions. An abnormal physiological condition is when there is not enough magnesium to make enough nitric oxide to do its work, and inflammation is not controlled.
Tonight on our internet based radio show, we’ll be talking with Dr. Carolyn Dean about Magnesium and Inflammation along with a wide range of health topics and safe solutions. You will love hearing the beneficial interactions with our callers and hosts alike including the body/mind connection, identifying the ‘conflict’ in the ‘conflict basis’ of disease and much more!!
If you yourself are unable to join us for tonight’s program, you have the option to email Ginney and have your question or comment included in our MailBag Segment which is featured in Hour Two.
