Birth Control Betrayal - Dr. Carolyn Dean MD ND

Birth Control Betrayal

November 14, 2016

I’ve just accepted an invitation to take part in a Hormonal Harmony Summit. It won’t air until Feb 2017, but the information I’ve already gleaned from my host, Kiran Ram, is so important that I want to blog about it and talk about it today on my radio show at 4pm PST.

Kiran told me about one of her guests, Holly Grigg-Spall, who has written a book called Sweetening the Pill. I haven’t spoken in depth about the birth control pill (BCP) for many years, probably because my audience doesn’t require birth control anymore! However, I realized when reading the book that, not only are the physical and emotional side effects of the pill swept aside for the liberation that the BCP allows women, but those side effects can be long-lasting.

Let me say at the outset that there are solutions for the side effects that I’m talking about and I’m realizing them more each day as people’s moods and health improves on the Total Body ReSet formulas. So, I’m not just promoting a negative agenda; I have the answers that you seek.

Because of my interest in yeast overgrowth, I listed the BCP along with antibiotics are major contributors. I’ve talked about the pill being offered to young teens, who have never developed their menstrual cycle before it’s totally suppressed. I’ve wondered, aloud and in print, if the pill is at the root of the infertility epidemic that many women suffer – and then subject themselves to toxic doses of hormones to achieve pregnancy. Do we even know the long-term effect of these strong hormones on mothers or babies?

Now, with the help of Holly’s book, I see that the pill may have a larger role in the downward spiral of health, in women, than I previously thought. I constantly talk about the hormonal triad of Adrenals, Thyroid, and Sex Hormones. So, it’s quite obvious that if our sex hormones are shut down with the pill and replaced with synthetic drugs, there will be an impact on adrenal and thyroid hormones! What chronic problems are women suffering today? Adrenal exhaustion, hypothyroidism (usually caused by Hashimoto’s thyroiditis), and early menopause.

Here is a quote from Sweetening the Pill:

“The sex hormone cycle regulates 150 bodily systems all of which are suppressed by hormonal contraceptives and all of which are interrelated to all other body systems (including the endocrine, neurologic and immunologic systems). Therefore hormonal contraceptives impact:

Energy levels

Memory and concentration

Motor coordination

Adrenalin levels

Pain threshold

Vitamin retention

Blood glucose levels

Thyroid and adrenal function

Sleep patterns

Body temperature

Skin color and texture

Brain wave patterns

Metabolism rate

Visual, auditory and olfactory acuity

Concentrations of vitamins

Immune system”

Will anyone ever fund a study to show home many women who took the pill are suffering Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Adrenal Exhaustion, Hypothyroidism, and the myriad of symptoms that most of my clients and customers suffer? Not likely! Since the vast majority of medical research is funded by drug companies, we will never have that study. However, in your own little study of one person, you can answer that question immediately. Did you ever take the BCP.

I certainly did. I served my time on the pill, taking it for about 15 years! Those years were a blur because I was going through medical school and my internship and a new practice at the same time, so I can’t separate BCP side effects from massive stress. I just know that I felt better when I got off them. Sweetening the Pill gives many of stories and evidence of side effects, that the author says may still be affecting people decades after they stop. The suppression of hormones can be long-lasting.

To add to my thinking about hormone manipulation, on the Payday radio show on Nov 12-13, 2016, Bert was talking about his experience with anabolic steroids during his weight lifting days. He’s been off the steroids for decades, but he said that on the Total Body ReSet formulas – especially the ReStructure, his body was bulking up and he was hardly even working out. He felt that taking ReAline had finally cleared out any residue of the anabolic steroids and allowed him to make the best use of the building blocks of ReMag, ReMyte, and the RnA Drops.

When Bert told his story, it made me realize that the incredible results we’ve been having with our whole Total Body ReSet formula protocol is creating a massive ReSet in the body. In a blog on July 8, 2016, I tried to define what so many of our customers are experiencing as Total Body Meltdown. I have the ReSet formulas as the answer, but now I’m becoming more aware why the changes are occurring.

Hydrating and remineralizing the cells with sea salt, magnesium, and multiple minerals stimulates the electrical conductivity of the cells and the whole body. ReAline ever so gently detoxes heavy metals, chemicals, and toxins – takes out the trash so you can make new cells. ReStructure provides highly absorbed protein building blocks for the cells. Absorption of all we eat is further promoted by RnA Drops, which also work through the RNA and Chromosome 14 to make a much clearer copy of our DNA in perfect cells.
