Both allopathic and alternative medicine doctors wait until the thyroid is so weakened that their treatment of choice is to use hormone replacement. Allopaths use synthetic thyroid hormone and alternative medicine doctors and their patients fight for the right to use natural hormones. Both approaches are lacking.
Allopathic doctors know nothing about the mineral treatment of the thyroid. Alternative medicine doctors focus on using iodine and some use selenium and forget about the other 7 minerals required for proper thyroid function.
Even if alternative medicine doctors use minerals they go by inaccurate hair analysis tests and do not choose minerals that are 100% absorbed at the cellular level so their results are inconsistent and mostly ineffective.
