Vitamin C ReSet

The Formulas

Vitamin C ReSet®

The Antioxidant and Collagen Foundation

A whole-food vitamin C, Vitamin C ReSet® is one of the seven foundation formulas in the Maui ReSet protocol. It provides food-based vitamin C to support collagen formation and the structure and function of skin and connective tissue.

Collagen Formation

Vitamin C is required for the body to form collagen, the protein that gives skin, tendons, and connective tissue their structure.

Antioxidant Support

Vitamin C supports the body’s own antioxidant defenses, part of how cells handle everyday wear.

Whole-Food Form

Vitamin C ReSet® delivers vitamin C in a whole-food form the body recognizes, not an isolated megadose.

It’s obvious to me that the more research that is done on nutrients, the more they will find that all the nutrients work together synergistically.

Science of Nutrition + Synergy

Nutrients work best in concert. Vitamin C ReSet® supplies whole-food vitamin C, and what vitamin C does for your skin comes down to its role in forming collagen and supporting the body’s antioxidant defenses.

Vitamin C for Collagen and Antioxidant Support

Vitamin C ReSet® supplies whole-food vitamin C, supporting vitamin C’s role in collagen formation and the body’s antioxidant defenses. Collagen gives skin, tendons, and connective tissue their structure, and the body cannot make it without vitamin C. Supplying it in a food-based form, as steady daily sufficiency, is a gentler way to support that everyday structure and function than chasing a single megadose. Kept up daily, it is the steady structure and function the nutrient is there to support.

Vitamin C, Collagen, and Longevity

Vitamin C is one of the nutrients that supports the connective tissue and antioxidant defenses the body relies on over time, and keeping it sufficient is part of supporting a healthy aging trajectory. In population research, higher intake of vitamin C, alongside folate and potassium, has been associated with longer telomere length, a marker studied in biological aging. Observational, on a surrogate marker, strongest in younger adults, and about the nutrient rather than this product.

How Vitamin C ReSet® Supported the Study Foundation

Vitamin C ReSet® brought whole-food vitamin C to the daily foundation the Maui ReSet participants followed for six months. Vitamin C supports the body best alongside the minerals and nutrients it partners with, so the pilot followed the whole foundation together rather than any single nutrient on its own. The full pilot study shows how that food-first foundation came together, and what a complete, sufficiency-first six months looked like day to day.

Common Questions

What does vitamin C do for your skin?
Vitamin C is required to make collagen, the protein that gives skin its structure and firmness, and it supports the antioxidant defenses skin relies on against everyday wear. Keeping vitamin C sufficient supports the normal structure and function of skin from the inside, as part of overall nutrition.
How much vitamin C per day?
The recommended intake for most adults is roughly 75 to 90 mg a day, with an upper limit around 2,000 mg. Food should do most of the work, and a food-based supplement can help fill any gap. If you take larger amounts, spreading them out is gentler on digestion than one big dose.
Can you take too much vitamin C?
Yes. Vitamin C is water-soluble, so the body sheds the extra, but very high doses above about 2,000 mg a day can cause loose stools or an upset stomach. A food-based amount kept within sensible limits supports sufficiency without pushing past what the body comfortably uses.
Will vitamin C lower my biological age?
No. No supplement reverses aging or changes a biological-age test on its own, and we will not claim otherwise. Vitamin C ReSet® simply supports collagen formation and the body’s antioxidant defenses, part of a sufficiency-minded approach to healthy aging.
