ReAline®

Let me say a little more about ReAline®, which launched in 2011. It’s a food-based, low-potency, non-synthetic, methylated B complex with the addition of two sulfur-based amino acids. The methyl groups and sulfur help drive the sulfation and methylation detox pathways in the liver. Methionine is a precursor to glutathione, and taurine supports bile production in the liver and also supports heart health. Besides heart, immune, and hormone support, ReAline® takes out the trash, both metabolic trash and environmental trash to which we are exposed constantly.

ReNew Serum®

Playing around with the RnA Drops®, we concentrated the liquid and made ReNew Serum®, a facial nourishing and hydrating cream, which launched in 2011 as well.

ReMag®

Finally came the launch of ReMag® in July, 2012, after I came across a chemist online who claimed to have a process that could stabilize magnesium ions making them non-laxative. I immediately got in touch and the gentleman told me that he was in the middle of reading my Miracle of Magnesium (2003) book. Naturally, we hit it off, and the rest is history. But let me describe that history.

With my encouragement and his willingness to experiment, he adjusted an 18-step process that he had inherited to make a 60,000 parts-per-million (ppm) concentration of stabilized magnesium ions. Contrast that with the magnesium in seawater at 1,350ppm. Yes, it’s that strong and it tastes like battery acid. That’s why we constantly tell people to dilute ReMag® by adding something to mask the flavor! That’s our biggest problem with ReMag® – the taste. I’ve even said on podcasts, I don’t care what you put it in – coffee, tea, juice – just take it. I don’t think I’ve mentioned alcohol.

ReMyte®

In the previous Blog #7, I laid out my whole “Magnesium Deficiency Poster Child” experience, and how taking ReMag® changed my life – all aspects of my life. I realized that I had to make a multiple mineral, and the chemist confirmed that he could stabilize the ions of many minerals and most of them would “play well” together in a combined formula keeping their stabilized isolation. I gave him my “wish list” of twelve minerals and we launched in 2013. Here are the stabilized mineral ions in ReMyte®:

Boron, Calcium, Copper, Chromium, Iodine, Magnesium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Potassium, Selenium, Sodium, and Zinc

Actually, our long-time customers may remember the original name: ReLyte – for electrolytes. However, after a year or so we were notified of a trademark infringement, so we simply changed the name.

Here’s the best part about ReMyte®: I found in my research that many trace minerals are necessary to make thyroid hormones, so I found them all – nine in total. Lo and behold, 6 weeks into testing ReMyte®, I felt my thyroid kick into gear. No more cold hands and feet. Taking Charge

During the next year we took a breath… no actually, 2014 is the year that I had to take over the company. From 2011 through 2014, I simply had a manufacturer make the products and put a distributor in charge of sales. But by December, 2013, I realized that wasn’t working out. My “generosity was being negotiated.” In March, 2014, at age 65, when I should have been retiring, I started New Capstone, a dietary supplement company. Ginney Sanders came on board in 2014 to run operations. Now we have a 30,000 sq. ft., 30 ft.-high concrete warehouse (built in 6 months just before Covid, 2020), and worldwide distribution of truly unique and remarkable dietary supplement formulas.

ReStructure®

There is a backstory to our protein powder – ReStructure®. In the early 2000s, I learned about a unique protein powder developed by a cardiothoracic surgeon, Stig Steen in Sweden. He needed an easily digestible meal replacement for his recovering surgical patients. A Canadian company made the powder – its uniqueness was that the main protein came from eggs! My husband and I used the protein powder for years and became friends with the owners of the company. When the owners retired, I bought the formula. By that time, cage-free, safe eggs were very hard to come by and the formula had changed years before to whey, pea, and rice protein. The Company was called Whey Too Good. We worked with their whey-powder formulation and ingredient blend to build on the non-casein, low lactose whey from New Zealand. We added two grams of lysine and vitamin C for collagen support, and dehydrated RnA Drops® for energy enhancement. We launched an incredibly tasty and healthy product – ReStructure® – in 2015.

ReCalcia®

What about ReCalcia®, our calcium formula, you may ask? My work with magnesium made me very leery of calcium supplementation. In The Magnesium Miracle (2017), I wrote about a slew of studies out of New Zealand showing that women who simply took calcium supplements were at risk for heart disease as unabsorbed calcium deposited in arteries, and also created heel spurs, kidney stones, gall stones, and breast tissue calcification.

I hadn’t taken any calcium supplements for years, and I was also not eating dairy. My reasoning was that I wanted ReMag® to solubilize calcium that was hanging around in my soft tissues and direct it to my bones. But by 2016, I was feeling discomfort in my knees – not pain, not fluid buildup, just discomfort. I thought about calcium because years before when I had been experimenting with chelation, I gave myself knee discomfort, which I thought was due to the EDTA chelation not only pulling out heavy metals but also pulling out minerals, especially calcium.

I talked to the chemist about making a low-dose single mineral calcium product and ReCalcia® was launched in 2016. The RDA of calcium in the U.S. is 1,200 – 1,500mg but I recommend the U.K., WHO levels of 500-700mg of daily calcium, that many people can get from their diet. You can add up the amount of calcium you get in your diet with the Cronometer that you can find on at drcarolyndean.com. If you don’t get that amount in your diet, then you add a teaspoon or two of ReCalcia®.

Pico Silver®

I had used Colloidal Silver in the past but it was no big whoop! I even met “The Blue Man” who was trotted out at health conferences to show off the blue-silver color of his skin that he developed by using a silver product that he made himself. It surely scared off a lot of people from using colloidal silver. At the same time, I knew that silver has a long history as safely being used in wound dressing. I decided to put it in a stabilized picometer ion form. We launched Pico Silver® in January, 2018. Since then, we have had practitioners telling us they prefer using Pico Silver® over other brands.

Flora ReVive®

Flora ReVive® is our soil-based probiotic that we recommend for gut health. It’s another formula that I made for myself! Remember Blog #1 where I admitted to being addicted to sugar? That addiction, along with antibiotics for chronic sore throats; mercury dental fillings; then the birth control pill in my early 20’s, made me a walking yeast factory.

Then, in my 30s, I learned about Candida and decided to quit sugar, wheat, and dairy, and I held that ground for an incredible TEN YEARS! I rotated antifungal herbs –oregano, garlic, turmeric, and ginger – but I still had gas, bloating, and a fuzzy feeling in my head. In 2017 I became aware of Saccharomyces boulardii as a supportive probiotic that would balance the gut. We launched Flora Revive® in March, 2018 and tens of thousands of customers have been served through this unique combination of probiotics, prebiotics and soil-based bacteria.

ReMag Lotion®

Magnesium is an exceptional hydrator, and we put that attribute to work in making our ReMag Lotion Plus® which we launched in October, 2018. With 130mg of ReMag® in each teaspoon it’s an amazing moisturizer that is safe for the skin and it’s become one of our most popular products.

Whole C ReSet®

I would bite the inside of my cheek or the side of my tongue occasionally. It happened a lot when I was magnesium deficient, probably because my tongue would spasm. The wound would last for weeks. Along the way, I discovered that vitamin C – sourced from foods – would support the sensitive tissues inside the mouth in a powerful way. I found a whole food Vitamin C but it was was very expensive, and being Scottish, I’m kind of “allergic” to “expensive.” So, I decided to do it myself (again) and manufacture a food-based, vitamin C complex. It does the same for me as the other brand, but at less than half the cost. We launched Whole C ReSet® in October, 2018.

Pico Potassium®

Before we put Pico Potassium® on the market in April, 2020, I had been recommending people get their potassium by making Potassium Broth! Just chop up and simmer for 30-60 minutes, strain, and drink the liquid of: potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, garlic, leafy greens (like spinach or Swiss chard), and parsley. This was yet another “task” that I was asking people to do but I knew they weren’t doing it. Also, as the Paleo, Keto, and Carnivore diets captured the attention of health-conscious people, part of that consciousness was to avoid vegetable carbs! Their potassium intake was plummeting. So, I looked into making a stabilized potassium ion. I found that the FDA, with an abundance of caution, and a lack of knowledge and foresight, had ruled that potassium supplements cannot exceed 99mg per dose, which is only 2% of the 4,700mg RDA of potassium.

“Potassium-induced Lesions of the Small Bowel” was published in 1965 and said: “Enteric-coated potassium chloride is responsible for a striking increase in ulcerative lesions of the small intestine… Because irreversible damage may have occurred by the time symptoms appear, medications containing enteric-coated potassium should be limited to patients who require thiazides and whose potassium requirements cannot be met by dietary means.” Boom, there went potassium supplements! Not to be deterred I had my chemist concentrate our potassium and make ¼ teaspoon equal to 99mg. With stabilized ions of potassium in the formula Pico Potassium® offers better absorption than a pill or a powder and makes the 99mg more effective.

D3K2®

We needed a good Vitamin D3, and we added natto-based Vitamin K2 to help direct the calcium to the bones and teeth, which vitamin D helps absorb. This formula was launched in April, 2020 and it gave me an opportunity to remind everyone how important magnesium is in activating Vitamin D. Also, I was proud to offer a vegan formula which is plant based not made from sheep’s lanolin (yuk).

Pico Zinc®

Zinc is such a wonderful mineral and is often overlooked. It is essential for pregnant women in the development of healthy fetal tissues and that follows us all into adulthood and sustains us in the same manner. Zinc is required for normal immune cell functions that enhance the immune response. I put out Pico Zinc® in May, 2020 with the confidence that being picometer in size, my stabilized zinc ion would easily cross cell mineral channels and work immediately and effectively in those cells that require zinc.

Vitamin C ReSet®

On my March 30, 2020, podcast, I interviewed several vitamin C experts. They are all doctors that use or recommend high dose, intravenous ascorbic acid and got me thinking. I put together a formula would give us a delicious vitamin C drink with a generous serving of vitamin C. We used a sparkling berry flavor people could put in their mineral water to mask the taste of their ReMag®, ReMyte®, and Pico Potassium®. This formula was released in July, 2020. I have since written a book called, Vitamin C: Listening to the Experts.
